Melissa Grassmick

My name is Melissa Grassmick, and I first met Michael in 2022 at Neuromotion Physiotherapy in Surrey, BC. My daughter Julia was paralyzed by a spinal cord injury when she was a toddler; a freak incident where a blood clot compressed her spinal cord overnight, leaving her unable to sit, stand or walk. Life has a way of changing without warning and it can be very scary. Now 10 years old, Julia remains moƟvated and driven to maximize her physical recovery. Julia, from the first Ɵme they met, was blown away by Michael and his positive attitude as well as the physical recovery he has been able to achieve.

Michael Coss is a special individual; there is no mistaking his zest for life. Once you meet Michael, your life and everything you have done to that m oment seems relaƟvely insignificant compared to what Michael has gone through. After his accident, Michael has made, and continues to make, miraculous progress with his own recovery, which is incredibly inspirational.

Not only has Michael defied the odds of recovery after a catastrophic accident, but he has also made the decision to devote his life to giving back to others, by educating and inspiring people everywhere. Michael recently spoke at a fundraiser event we hosted, where all proceeds go to Julia’s rehabilitation costs. Michael graciously offered to speak at our dinner event, where all our guests were blown away, and very moved by his talk. His genuine, compassionate, and brilliant nature shines though every time Michael speaks.

We are so glad to have met Michael, and fortunate to be able to call him a friend. There is no doubt he would be an asset to any event or group conference.
